Mixed Media Glass, sunlight, electrochromic films, controller, computer, steel 5 x 5 x 3,5 meters Aedes Memoriae takes shape as a sensitive experience where glass transforms into living matter and becomes a threshold between perception and memory. The installation gradually reveals the space: light and sound filter the environment, thus revealing time and memory as the true elements of the work. The audience is invited to move between density and transparency, to observe how matter seems to appear and disappear, how time itself takes shape in space. Every surface, every variation of light and refraction is an invitation to reflect on becoming, on the relationship between presence and absence, between what remains and what transforms. Glass, oscillating between function and poetry, separates and connects, establishing a dialogue between the physical world and the intimate perception of the spectator. In this interaction, memory becomes the protagonist, tangible yet ephemeral, like a shadow that accompanies the present and reveals its denth. The work is thus configured as a symbol of Rimadesio's 70th anniversary, reflecting the company's ongoing pursuit of design and innovation, between technique and aesthetics, in an experience that is both visual and contemplative.
