Mixed Media (Inflatable structure, sunlight, projector, controller, computer) 25x5x5m Sliced functions as both a gate and a journey; a passage into a liminal space where light, sound, and air become the only architecture. Stripped to its essentials, it embodies a form of minimalism that invites transcendence through reduction. The installation follows our paths of ecological sustainability offering an immense experience built on an extremely small footprint. This giant structure can be deflated and packed into two small 50kg packages. The work can be displayed 24 hours; during the day using the sunlight as the only light source. Which we replace during nighttime with LED lights. The large-scale installation redefines space by sculpting light into matter, turning perception itself into a field of exploration. In an age marked by uncertainty and overexposure, Sliced proposes stillness and simplicity as an act of resistance. It offers a temporary sanctuary where light becomes healing and sound becomes breath. Inspired by the art of Mashrabiya; The work reflects an ecological awareness, operating with minimal energy and using natural phenomena; sunlight, mist, and reflection as its core materials. Ultimately, Sliced is a metaphor for transition: between darkness and illumination, anxiety and calm, isolation and connection. It seeks not to provide answers, but to restore a sense of presence and a moment of quiet hope in a world longing for renewal. This artwork was premiered at Noor Riyadh Festival 2025.
