Mixed Media (Glass, steel, electrochromic films, led light, controller, computer) 234x605x240 cm ALCOVE LTD 20 is an audiovisual installation inside an upcycled and modified 20-feet glass shipping container. It transforms this industrial shell into a luminous, kinetic chamber where light, sound, and shifting visibility shape an ever-changing reality. Through liquid-crystal microfilms, the glass walls move between transparency and opacity, engaging viewers from both inside and outside and softening the boundary between observer and participant.Inside, clouds of light, shadows, and abstract forms appear and dissolve, echoing how memory fades and resurfaces. Visitors find themselves subtly reshaped by shifting illumination, entering a space that is both intimate and disorienting.Part of our Subtractive Series, the piece explores how absence can hold more weight than what is visible. Rooted in themes of memory, loss, and perception, our works embrace minimalism, energy efficiency, and site-specific adaptation; turning architecture into a living canvas where quiet transformation becomes the experience itself.
