Mixed Media (Glass, sunlight, electrochromic films, controller, computer) 15x6m We explore the tension between presence and absence, where human perception replaces physical objects and leaves an intangible trace, challenging the boundaries of memory and experience. Our work often reflects the idea of what is lost or unspoken; exploring how the past reveals its true significance through involuntary memory; those fleeting moments resurfacing unexpectedly, reminding us of what we failed to cherish. Alcove In Situ installations use Sunlight, Electrochromic films, a controller, a computer and glass to craft a dynamic interplay. Rather than simply revealing, the work conceals; modulating light and transparency across the façade to veil and unveil the inside and the outside, mirroring the way memory dissolves and resurfaces. Aligned with our recent Subtractive Series, our work embraces simplicity and energy efficiency, transforming the building itself into a living canvas where absence speaks as powerfully as presence. In Search of Lost Time, Marcel Proust.
